La Tropical cuts dissolved oxygen and improves beer quality with FaBLINE hoses
Learn how switching to FaBLINE hoses helped a brewery significantly reduced dissolved oxygen pickup, preserve beer quality and improve canning efficiency.
Maintaining low dissolved oxygen levels is critical for preserving beer flavour and shelf life. Cervecería La Tropical, based in Miami, was experiencing high dissolved oxygen pickup on its canning line, which was reducing the time its beer could remain at its best. The brewery identified its hose assemblies as a key source of oxygen ingress and sought a more effective solution.
By replacing its previous PVC hoses with FaBLINE PTFE-lined hose assemblies, Cervecería La Tropical significantly reduced dissolved oxygen pickup across its canning operation. The brewery recorded a reduction of more than 50 ppb, helping to protect flavour stability and extend shelf life. In addition, the smooth inner surface of FaBLINE minimises foaming and carbonation loss during transfer, reducing product waste and supporting more efficient production. The result is improved beer quality, greater process reliability and enhanced canning line performance.
