Watson-Marlow Tubing was born out of a desire to optimise the performance of our industry-leading pumps. Leveraging decades of experience in peristaltic technology development, our tubing products pair with our pump portfolio to offer a complete solution to our customers.

Since 2000, Watson-Marlow Tubing has been engineering tubing products for enhanced processing and handling solutions. Today, we are the only peristaltic pump manufacturer in the world to also manufacturer tubing in-house. Manufactured and vigorously tested in state-of-the-art cleanrooms, our tubing portfolio optimises the performance of our pumps.

With different materials and different sizes, from 0.13mm to 40mm, our tubing products have been developed with your process in mind. Across accurate dosing, repeatable metering, and reliable chemical transfer applications, our tubing provides a comprehensive solution. For continuity of supply, our tubing not only combines with our pumps but your business—simplifying procurement, validation and technical support.

Tubing performance and selection

Watson-Marlow are the only peristaltic pump manufacturer to make their own tubing. The characteristics of the pump, including suction lift, pressure, life, flow rate and efficiency are all largely determined by the tubing.

The results of using tubing from other suppliers are unpredictable. if you have any question about tube performance or the selection of tubing for a new application, we will always be pleased to give you the best possible advice.

  • For maximum tube life: Use a large-bore tube at low speed
  • For maximum flow rate: Use the largest tube at maximum speed
  • For maximum accuracy: Use a small bore tube at high speed

 

The best way to select a tube is to decide which materials are chemically suitable, and best meet the physical demands of your application.
