A speciality materials manufacturer producing nylon and polyester for clothing, carpets, vehicles and computers used a solid carbon steel piping system as part of their vacuum system, transporting waste nylon fibres to disposable sacks.

Certain fibre materials would snag on the tight bends of the steel pipework and caused blockages. This resulted in the shutdown and dismantling of the extraction unit to remove the blockage.

Replacing the pipework with 1.25” Corroline+ complete with specialised fittings, resulted in no further blockages. Corroline+ has a smooth bore interior and a convoluted exterior, giving excellent flexibility and faster flow rates.
