Bioflex Ultra anti-static hose for the transfer of conductive fluid

A well-known company working within the semi-permanent mold release industry, wanted to move away from rubber/composite hoses.

Eliminating static discharge problems during transfer of conductive fluids

  • Reducing risk of static charge build up
  • ATEX compliance now assured

A well-known company working within the semi-permanent mould release industry, wanted to move away from rubber/composite hoses. The company were experiencing static discharge shocks within an ATEX zone, as well as connection issues with their Jubilee clipped (gear clamped) fittings.

Aflex provided the perfect solution, offering Bioflex Ultra AS hose with a braided stainless steel reinforcement. Bioflex Ultra AS is essential in applications where the transfer of non-conducting fluids may cause a risk of static charge build-up on the inside surface of the hose with subsequent discharge through the hose wall. Aflex also offered crimped-on end fittings as these provided a stronger, more reliable solution to the cutomer’s connection problems.

As a result of these changes, the customer eliminated the static discharge problem, bringing their operation into compliance with ATEX regulations and safeguarding their workforce, while providing for a cleaner, longer lasting connection system.
