Growth at WMFTS catalyses appointment of new Regional Sales Manager for Central Europe

New Regional Sales Manager

Continued growth at global fluid technology company Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) is the catalyst for a series of positive changes to the Company’s European and Middle East (EME) management structure.

WMFTS has announced the appointment of Rainer Schmid as Regional Sales Manager for Central Europe. Mr Schmid’s role has been created as the Company has defined new regions to ensure sustainable growth. He will be responsible for sales across Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia.

Initially, Mr Schmid’s main focus will be on direct sales, although he will become increasingly involved in Non-Group Export sales through distributors and other third parties in the region.

Rainer Schmid, who will be based in Hamburg, joins WMFTG with over 20 years of senior business management experience in the Industrial, Energy and Food and Beverage sectors. In addition to his global sales experience within SPX Flow Corp., he has previously been responsible for manufacturing operations in Europe for US food manufacturing equipment maker Tipper Tie Inc.
